They're gonna clean up your looks
With all the lies in the books
To make a citizen out of you
Because they sleep with a gun
And keep an eye on you, son
So they can watch all the things you do
Because the drugs never work
They're gonna give you a smirk
'Cause they got methods of keeping you clean
They're gonna rip up your heads,
Your aspirations to shreds
Another cog in the murder machine
They said all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me
The boys and girls in the clique
The awful names that they stick
You're never gonna fit in much, kid
But if you're troubled and hurt
What you got under your shirt
Will make them pay for the things that they did
They said all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me
Ohhh yeah!
They said all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me
All together now!
Teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me

Man.. its been one week since IMCB haha and I finally got the pictures from Danielle.. but nope I am not posting them up.. haha since they look quite badly taken and I look rally gross in one of them. WHY WHY must my face be so bloated...
Ok anw.. basically the whole IMCB was kind of this cheemified biology subject on collaborative anti-viral research. Well, according to one of my group members, it wasn't cheem enough. Ok. I hate how smart he is. Well, the procedure part was OK.. we did electrophesis in school before.. so yeah. But, when I was inserting the buffer thing into the gel.. somehow I released it permaturely.
So, it was the theory part that really bothered me. It took me three whole days to digest whatever they were trying to get us to understand. Something about the sars virus and how it fuses with the chinese hamster cell line. See I do understand at least a little ok! Ok, I probably would have understood it much sooner and faster if I bothered to read the notes they give us. But I really had to do holiday homework. Which I am still trying to finish.
Reading the notes would also have made me seem smarter during quiz time! I sucked during quiz time. Haha.. at least I got my question correct.... by luck. Haha and one lame question. Really.. when will I ever stop procrastinating..
Well all in all it was pretty fun. I mean the company just makes things much funner. Our group of five was like laughing over EVERYTHING. From the uni-brow guy to the goatee guy. Haha. Hope none of them reads this. When we went into the scientists lab we were even laughing over how everything could not be touched. LOL... when everybody was so serious and gawking at the equipment.
So lets jump back to the beginning. I am so disorganized. On the first day we recieved our cards! To get around the building. It was kinda cool. But I was so stupid I couldn't get it to work when I was trying to go up the lift on the second day. I was already late ok! I think I spent maybe 5 min trying to get it to work. I nearly called out Danielle to help me open it.. Well.. later some guy came and helped me open it. I was soo darn grateful that I didn't make a fool of myself. BUT later I ran all the way to the lab and went into the wrong lab. WITH SOMEONE IN THERE. GOD I AM SO FREAKING BLUR. Right, and my bottle dropped cos the strap broke. FREAK.
Lectures were what took up the first 1 - 2 hours of the first day. I remember the safety lecture. Dammit. There are a million ways to die in that stupid building. And I am the most careless person. What if I die... zomg. So.. I payed full attention ok! I don't want to be killed by some flying aluminium block. Thats not the way to end my life. So stuff u definitely should not do: drink industrial grade alcohol ala some students last year. Unless you want to die or become blind. Do not drink the DI water. Unless you want to die of dehydration. It has no ions or minerals in there. And DO NOT GO NEAR anything that emits UV light. LIKE MY GROUP DID. HW WERE WE SUPPOSSED TO NOE IT WAS UV!!!
Well, after that it was all fun. Because we were waiting for the experiment to finish, we went on a tour! We went to the basement where there were the autocleaving section. That is damn cool. Schools seriously should have an autocleaving section. Maybe the girls who have to do detention can do it. Who cares. I wont' be doing detention either way. Haha. Then we went to zebrafish facility. They are kinda cute. But then the NUS year 4 ppl were so irritating. GAHH. I was so happy when they had to leave. GOOD RIDDANCE. ONE MEMBER SHORT OF THAT GIRL, my life was so much better.
Ok wtv. Then there was the frog facility. GROSS. The frogs were so gross. Then we watched stupid video about frogs. But its kinda gross. They squeeze the eggs out of the frog. Cruelty? Maybe..
Well, all in all it was really fun. Especially laughing at people. Haha and gossiping. And the demonstrators were so nice! Much more patient and nicer than our school teachers. At least they dont' scold.. unless u sleep. Well.. and there was an ex-SCGS girl as a demonstrator there!
One of the best thing probably was waking up at 8,30 haha.
let your heart out.
