They're gonna clean up your looks
With all the lies in the books
To make a citizen out of you
Because they sleep with a gun
And keep an eye on you, son
So they can watch all the things you do
Because the drugs never work
They're gonna give you a smirk
'Cause they got methods of keeping you clean
They're gonna rip up your heads,
Your aspirations to shreds
Another cog in the murder machine
They said all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me
The boys and girls in the clique
The awful names that they stick
You're never gonna fit in much, kid
But if you're troubled and hurt
What you got under your shirt
Will make them pay for the things that they did
They said all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me
Ohhh yeah!
They said all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me
All together now!
Teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me

- Teenagers by My Chemical Romance
'Fear can hold you prisoner, Hope can set you free'
A wrongly convicted banker (Andy), jailed for the murder of his wife and lover.
Raped in prison by three pervertic crazed felons
Makes lifelong friends with Red & Co.
Takes a young clueless boy under his guidance who is killed.
Digs his way out of prison, through the faeces pipe.
Other choice quotes I can't really remember but love:
Prison takes the life out of you, the part that matters anywhere - Morgan Freeman as Red
Salvation is truly within (the bible) - Tim Robbins as Andy [ Only watching the movie will result in the irony here ]
Love for the movie. <3.>
Here's why its so wonderful:
1. The actors rockk. Everybody from Tim Robbins (Andy) as the lead to Gill Bellows (Tommy Williams) as the young promising man who got murdered without justice
2. The cruel irony of prison life. That life outside can be tougher. That even as a respected man in the prison, discrimination by the public minutes you to a small particle, insignificant by any standards
3. It's just thought provocating. Wonder what happened to the rest of the characters. I just wished that Andy had offered the help he had given Red to the rest. Which begs the questions that has been put forward: Perhaps the ending is just a figment of Red's imagination. But do I belive so. Nah. Hope is good. Being a cynic probably wouldn't make a very happy person.
4. The bastard Prison Warden Norton. Bastard. But he does add a certain other dimension to the movie. Worst thing he ever did - confine Andy to 'the hole' for 2 months and kill Tommy Williams for telling the truth. His death at the end is just gratifying. A bullet definitely not wasted.
5. Tommy Williams & Andy Dufene: Short lived relationship on screen. But great chemistry. Andy was just like a big brother, taking care of Tommy, giving him hope by educating him. Hope to take care of his wife and young child, to escape the fate of Brooke. But the bastard Norton had to take it all away, just like the way he crushed the cigaratte. So easily and cruelly with a twist of his foot. Man did he deserve to die. (: Makes me happy to say he deserves to die haha.
